About Dr. Adrienne Katzow

I am a New York State licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Westchester County.  I have been working with late adolescents and adults for over 14 years in individual and group psychotherapy. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Vassar College and went on to receive my PhD in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research in Manhattan.

During graduate school, I received clinical training at several major hospitals and outpatient clinics including Lenox Hill Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center and South Beach Psychiatric Center. I went on to complete my pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Lenox Hill Hospital. All of these experiences afforded me the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population of adults and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in college mental health at Sarah Lawrence College Counseling Services and then worked as a staff psychologist first at New York University Counseling and Wellness Services, and then at Sarah Lawrence College Counseling Services, specializing in women’s mental health, eating disorders, and mood disorders.

In my psychotherapy practice, I work with adolescents and adults with a variety of concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationship problems, loss, and life transitions. I have significant clinical experience supporting women at various stages of life whether transitioning to young adulthood, negotiating the struggles of conceiving, or navigating the challenges of motherhood. I’ve worked to establish myself as a specialist in the area of women’s mental health with a focus on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, reproductive concerns and eating problems and body image concerns. I have advanced training in the treatment of postpartum depression and other perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS), infertility, perinatal loss, and birth trauma. In addition to my private practice, I provide in home psychotherapy for new mothers navigating the postpartum period as a consultant for A Bridge Home.
